I'd like to know something: why is it not 
allowed to exchange insured mail between Belgium 
and the USA? Belgian POs don't even seem to know 
as they do offer the option, so it must be the 
USA's "fault". 
I sent an order to someone from this board which 
was meant to be insured $250 (minimum value for 
insurance - cool, loss is worthwile ^_~). 
Somewhat later, it returned with a note saying 
that insured mail isn't allowed between USA and 
Belgium. 

But now someone else is asking where their order 
is. I've sent it BEFORE the other person's order 
and it was insured, too. Or I think so, as 
that's what I asked and paid for... 
Anyways, she hasn't received it yet and I'm 
hoping for it to get returned to me so I can 
send it again.

But why don't the US allow insured mail from 
Belgium? Any thoughts?
