It's an interesting situation now... Also.. Are the new auction sites really going to make it? (Wed May 15 18:49:30 2002 )

Although I've only been collecting for 2 years
now, I've noticed this interesting change in cels
of late as well. It certainly has changed from
when I started. I'm a selective scene / character
collector and it has been exceedingly rare for me
to buy more than 1 cel in a 6 month period. In
the past 2 months I've shelled out for 6 cels
because in my searches this has either been the
first or one of the very few times I've
encountered them.

The numbers of cels seem to have decreased but
some rarer ones seem to be hitting the market for
once. For example, has anyone seen so many NG
Eva cels hit the market in this month? I for one
have never seen so many come out in such numbers
much less a true Rei cel on auction.

As to the situation with Yahoo Japan. I know
there has been some discontent with their new
policy. I'm wondering what everyone thinks of
these other auction sites jumping up (Bidders).
Since I heard about them after the YahooJP
change, I've been "stalking" them furiously as I
do with my other searches. I've noticed some of
the cels that have done the switch from YJP, but
in the weeks I've been searching it may appear
that Yahoo JP is going to win out. For the
moment it still seems Yahoo is still holding the
majority with little change. If Ebay is anything
to go by (Yes, I know Ebay in itself has
problems.) it seems to me YJP is going to win
this battle. Your thoughts?
