The original Racer X never had a red X on his 
chest nor red on his gloves. The only red on 
his outfit was the stylized M that is found on 
the Mach 5. Also on his car, The Shooting Star,  
the number 9  was in blue or black. This cel is 
from the The New Adventures of Speed Racer 
which aired in the early 90s. Sorry, I didn't
