It happened to me once when I confused my regular 
nickname of Tralfaz with my eBay ID of Tralfie.  
I tried to "retrieve" my password a couple of 
times in a row before I finally realized I was 
using the wrong name.

Still it's always a good idea to change your 
password when something odd like that happens.
