Hey! Since this is a topic brought up a lot, I 
thought this would be an interesting link to put 
up here. Since Japanese fans, by and large, 
listen to mangaka that do not want their work 
being used on-line (i.e CLAMP asks that you 
please not use images drawn by them, meaning 
don't scan and use artbook pictures), the 
majority of fansites use images created by fans. 
I had known of this, but recently a posting on an 
ML of a link caught my attention:

This is a site that's set out to protect Japanese 
fanartists from their works being used on other 
sites without their permission, mostly against 
English fansites. Apparently, our treatment of 
images is quite a touchy subject.

Just thought I'd bring this to the attention of 
the board :D
