But we got there a little late. When I arrived
at the room, there was someone speaking (a
question and answer session) about cel storage.
Then, people broke into little groups admiring
each other's cel collections. There was some
trading going on (I'm not certain about direct
sales though). We left (my friend had a panel
she wanted to attend) before the cel meeting was
over, but we were there for about 45 minutes. It
seemed to be rather laid back, just people with
the common interests of anime and cel collecting
chatting and meeting.
It was the first time I had anyone gush over my
cels, so it was great! I met a few people who
have become on-line friends at that cel meeting.
Since I'm not planning on trading or selling
cels, and my flight from Washington D.C. to
California has a stop-over and transfer, I'm
going to leave most of my cels at home. As much
as I would love to bring them, I refuse to check
them with my luggage and the way I store cels is
not really portable.
So, the few cels I will take are up in the air
yet. I would think I'd take Card Captor Sakura
cels, Yue especially, probably one or two of my
Hotohori cels and if they get here in time maybe
a few Master of Mosquiton cels.
I'm actually a little more interested in seeing
what people have to say about my attempts at fan
cels, when they get to see them up close and not
as scans on a computer!
