Hi,
I had a question as to if something was cel
damage or not. I have a cel that has two layers
stuck together. Upon very close inspection, I see
little "rainbows" of color in between the two
layers. Upon moving the cel around or looking at
different angles, the "rainbows" get larger or
smaller. It also appears somewhat "liquid" like,
but there is no liquid between them.
If I press down on a spot, they appear and mostly
disappear. Now if all of them were to disappear I
wouldn't be worried, but a couple of them seem to
be there permanently no matter where I press or
move. Does anyone even know what I'm talking
about? I know the term "rainbow" makes no sense,
but basically it's this liquid-like spot that is
of colors of the entire spectrum. Kind of like
blotches.
I guess I'm just worried I need to TRY and detach
the two layers if it's liquid or something that
could damage the top layer (since the bottom
layer's paint is obviously not inbetween). It's
not THAT big of a deal since you really gotta
look at it to even see them, but if it's
something that will cause significant damage
later on (like eating away at the cel) I want to
do something about it. Thanks!
