The reason, IMHO.... (Tue Oct 8 13:51:19 2002 )

....is because every cel is unique. I also
collect rare toys (which can suck the money out of
ya), but at least once I get that 15" Yamato with
sound and light features, I'm DONE. I've got it.

If I'm looking for Yamato CELS, that can go on and
on. I might find a near-perfect bow shot. But
then I'll find a broadside shot. Or a battle
shot. Or another bow shot that is a few frames
away from my first one, but is still better....

It's so very hard to be DONE. Some folks only
collect one cel of each character they like, but
they are in the minority. Most of us are
gluttons. ;-)

Add to that the fact that every cel you see for
sale is the first and last occurrence of that
particular cel. Sure, you may find it's sequence
mates, but that particular cel is gone. That
adds some urgency to it. If you pass on it, it
may be gone forever.

Yeah, it can be nuts. I know.
