I just bought a microtek 5900, one week old, its
a new usb 2.0 scanner, i like it alot. its supper
fast, faster than my old scsi scanner. Its images
are nice, but you cant tell from my website since
they were all done with my 5 year old scanner
with less resolution. :p hmmm, I wonder if I
should rescan all my stuff, gotta give that some
thought. One hitch is that they skimpted out on
the good software, it came with the usual lite
software. So you would have to factor in buying a
better software imaging tool. Also make sure if
you get a usb 2 scanner that your motherboard
supports it, or you have a pci addon card. You
can always upgrade later since they are backward
compatible. But usb 2 is the way to go, as for
the make and model, there are many good choices
out there. |
