I have given each show in my collection a 2-3 
letter code which is put at the beginning of the 
image name of all my scans of cels from those 
series. The reason is to keep the image files 
together when they're displayed in a list that is 
organized alphabetically. (As a computer sorts 
things.) Some are commonly used, like "AMG" 
for "Ah, My Goddess", but most are my own 
creation.

A few of the stranger ones are:

KTR - Kaze Makase Tsukikage Ran
CGN - All Purpose Cultural Cat Girl Nuku Nuku
STM - Silent Moebius

Vampire Hunter D is one of only two shows which 
have common abbreviations that are not used in my 
cataloging scheme. I can't use "VHD" since it 
mixes together with "VH" (Violinist of Hameln). 
So Vampire Hunter D became "VPD". The other is 
Vampire Princess Miyu, which is "VM" (or "VMOVA" 
for OVA cels) in my cataloge -- not "VPM". No 
real reason why. Except I never have used "VPM" 
to refer to the Miyu series anyway.
