I notify the person whether I will accept or 
not.  I would not like to be left hanging and I'm 
sure they would prefer not to be left hanging 
either.

I generally try to decide with in a week but if 
I'm having difficulty or I'm really busy, I might 
send them a quick note saying that I don't have 
time at the moment to give it all the 
consideration it deserves and tell them I hope to 
get back to them within a certain amount of time.

Sadly, sometimes I just get behind in my email 
too.  In that case, it takes even longer for both 
of the above.

I'm not sure how long it takes me in time/thought 
just devoted to the trade itself... I'm 
indecisive but usually I can make myself decide 
just so as not to keep everything waiting.
