In the UK apart from Mailorder, London is the 
best place to get anime goods! 

China Town near Picaddily is good
Forbidden Planet in Oxford Circus
Oriental City in Colindale is excellent
There are also several japanese restaurants 
and book shops that sell alot of manga 
around the backstreets...

I often make the 3 hour trip into London to look 
for anime!
