Hong Kong booters. I do check very carefully for 
the description and I try to get decent ones. I 
got bummed very few times about the quality.
I never pay more than $25 that way, and usually, 
the quality is ok, if not, I try another. At that 
price, I can afford to.
I know, bootlegs aren't a too ethical choice, but 
I think on the home-economic side of not wasting 
money. For a few grammar mistakes in the subs, 
I'm willing to pay $160 less than for Pioneer 
originals.

An approx. price chart ("up to.."):
Single DVDs, like OVA collections, movies,... $10
Double DVDs, like short series (YnM): $20
Triple DVDs (medium long series)    : $25
I even find some singles for $4.
