they are expensive because gainax (creators of 
evangelion) decided not to release the cels for 
public sale. all the cels you see if eva are 
from ppl that worked on the project that 
received them for gifts or they stole them so 
they could sell them out. Plus it helped greatly 
that eva was and probably still is popular, 
which drove up the price for authentic eva cels.
