Thank you for reconfirming basically what I had 
figured was the purpose of them. And I do realize 
it will be hard to tell if they were used in the 
production process or not. I can say I am getting 
in a character design set and a storyboard. The 
storyboard, however, is a lot nicer then any 
other conte I've seen. I wouldn't be surprised if 
I eventually seen duplications published in 
material artbooks. (Which I love as well. Concept 
sketches makes me weak at the knees no matter if 
its loose-leaf sketches or in a book.)
