Agh..  That's always a terrible thing to happen.
I've actually had something very similar happen 
to me three times in the past month. =\
Two auctions I desperately wanted, upon which I 
was outbid in the last 5 seconds or so (when I 
really would have paid more, but foolishly 
figured I could increase my bid if I got outbid. 
e.e;  My own stupid fault..)  On trying to ease 
the pain over those losses, I found another 
honest-to-goodness dream cel...only to learn it 
had sold out the day before I found it.  *sigh*
You're not alone..  I did end up finding a cel to 
help ease that pain, but as I just sent payment 
off, I can't yet show that one yet.. ^^;
So, instead, here's a slightly older purchase..
