Actually, I was one of the last minute bidders
on this "hanken" DP cel when it was up for
auction on Yahoo Japan. I used Rinkya to bid on
it, but apparently, someone else also used
Rinkya at the same time. When I placed my bid at
the last minute, I truly thought I had won this
cel, but later found out that this other "guy"
won it. I was so PISSED! The final amount was
about 55000 yen (my bid was higher), but since
the other guy apparently bidded a higher amount,
I lost, thanks to Rinkya! I swore after this
incident that I would use another deputy service
for pricey cel items that I really want badly. I
can't depend on Rinkya! I've been burned a
couple of times with Rinkya (e.g. my credit card
was double charged for shipping last year) and
with my last Rinkya order, which contained cels,
they didn't send me cels bags, which was
their "special of the month" offer!
Whether or not it's a hanken, it's still a nice
cel with a great background. It really burns me
even more now, knowing that the winner is not a
DP fan and is trying to sell it at an ENORMOUS
PROFIT MARGIN! What a &*$*&@# joke! If I had won
the cel, it would have been a permanent fixture
in my collection, enjoyed and appreciated for
years to come. It really irritates me that
someone bought the cel mainly to market from it!
I have a friend who is a serious DP collector
and a terminal cel collector, and with his deep
pockets, I suspect that he will bid on this $2.5
cel and win.
Oh well, that's life.
