Since I'm new to this art of cel collecting I'm
quite full of questions so bear with this newby
please.
I've been going to various sites here and there
and reading about how to take care of cels and
all. I've also been monitoring posts and other
subjects that have been going on here as well.
One thing that I've been focusing on is the fact
that cels are made with a paint that, by nature,
is designed to stick... correct?
What I was wondering is is there anything that's
been tried to dissipate the "stickness" of the
paint that is exposed to keep it from sticking
to things you don't want it to. Like other cels
or backgrounds or drawings?
I was just curious if anyone has created a
spray or something that one could spray on the
back of cels that "seals" them to the elements
and keeps them safe and easier to handle without
damaging them.
Perhaps it's just the way I think. But I would
think that if cel collecting is so popular among
the fans that someone somewhere would have
thought of something similar so as to preserve
cels for archival storeage.
Just how long WILL a cel last that's been framed
or placed in one of those archival binders that
Nichibei sells anyway?
And finally,... is there any place I could go
online that can give indepth information about
cels and generally answer all these questions I
keep coming up with? I'd hate to keep bothering
everyone here with goofy questions like these. I
apologize.
Thanks for any info. though |
