Oh! I had exactly the same thing happen with my 
Escaflowne cel! One of my friends had gotten a 
couple of Esca volumes for Christmas so we were 
ravenously watching them. I really liked the 
series, but I knew that cels from it were really 
expensive, and collecting them was kinda out of 
the question. 

A little while later, I was poking around one 
night and happened to catch one of Asylum's 
updates. There wasn't much from the shows I 
normally collect, so I checked out the new 
Escaflowne cels. I ended up finding a great shot 
of Escaflowne for what was a very affordable 
price. I'm not opposed to armor or mecha cels, 
so I ordered and ended up getting the second cel 
Curt had from that sequence. 

The next time my friends and I got together to 
watch the anime, they all jumped in shock as I 
yelled "OH MY GOD! THAT'S MY CEL!" when the 
opening credits rolled by! (They all thought I 
was completely nuts BTW.) ^_~`

So here it is, this was one heck of a deal in my 
opinion…
