I'm a pretty new collector and Escaflowne is one 
of the series that I want to collect.

Like the others have said, it is the sheer price 
of some of these cels that are really off putting 
(my favourite pyromaniac goes for $300+ usually).

Also, like joseishijin I want to collect Allen. 
Van doesn't really hold much interest for me 
(although I worship his seiyuu) - I want Allen, 
Gaddes and the guys from the Crusade first!!

I saw the cel too and it is amazing - if I had 
the cash it's the sort of thing I would buy - but 
unfortunatly *sigh* I'm pretty broke...oh well,
