I still have my good old HP Scanjet 2C (12 years
old :)... Usualy HP scanners are pretty good
and I don't think that your problem comes from
it : It's probably a problem with the software
you use. You should try to get one that doesn't
do any color/brightness correction automaticaly
as sometime the software doesn't interpret the
picture correctly.
