I wasn't making any kind of attack on anyone. I'm 
only trying to prevent the been-there-done-that 
flamewars that eventually erupt over these things.

It's something that people here have repeatedly 
requested not be asked and, although I didn't 
know the link myself, people who do want to ask 
these kinds of questions now know where they can 
freely ask them. All this has been is a reminder.

I think you're reading some kind of menace into 
these posts that doesn't exist. At least, it 
doesn't exist in mine.
