attacking me like that! lol
let me try to explain what I wrote in a simpler
way that you can understand my point.
the person got something for free!  a gift! a
present!  it's really rude to try to get something
like that appraised.  don't you take the price
tags off of things when you give them as gifts? 
wouldn't you feel offended if you were the gift
giver?  do you understand my point now?  i wasn't
trying to be "not nice" to them, i was just
appalled by their appraisal request.
