If someone out there is a huge Takahashi or MI
fan, and they have the cash to burn, then I can
see where it would be incredible to own a true
one-of-a-kind piece of art like that. However, I
have to say that $100K is certainly a huge chink
of change. I've seen original art from fantasy
artists go for half that amount. I once saw an
original oil on canvas of The Joker and Harley
Quinn, drawn by world renound artist Alex Ross,
sell for $40K(man, if I had the money, it would
have been mine). I've seen spectacular pieces by
HR Giger and The Hildebrants go for $50K. While
it may seem extreme to me, I am not a die hard
fan of her artwork, nor do I have $100K to throw
at that kind of stuff. I'll bet whoever does own
it is one happy little camper. |
