First get ebay involved.  Apply for a refund of 
your fees for this auction.  It's a little bit of 
a procedure, but they'll send a notice email and 
if he doesn't respond to that, you'll get your 
fees back (listing AND closing!)and then can be 
free to put it back up for auction, if you want.
