The only thing that I can think of would be 
maybe you should clean out your IE cache folder 
(I am assuming that you are using IE). Just go 
to Tools and then Internet Options and click on 
Delete Files under Temporary Internet Files.  I 
guess you could also try to update IE to its 
latest version (go to 
http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/ ).

You could also try using another browser than 
IE.  Something like Mozilla which has the built 
in pop-up killers so that you can kind of kill 
two birds with one stone. :)
