Ebay themselves say that they will **NEVER** ask
you for secure information of any kind through e-
mail. No matter how legitimate it looks, if it's
asking for secure information, it's not Ebay.
I've gotten these mails in the past too. Here is
a quote from Ebay themselves -- especially note
what they say about opening a *NEW* web browser
and NOT clicking links in the e-mail:
-------------
eBay will never ask you for sensitive personal
information such as passwords, bank account or
credit card numbers, Personal Identification
Numbers (PINs), or Social Security numbers in an
email itself. If you ever need to provide
information to eBay please open a new Web browser,
type www.ebay.com, and click on the "site map"
link located at the top the page to access the
eBay page you need.
-------------
(End quote.)
