Well I'm not THAT old (flip cards) but I do 
remember Scooby Doo from its FIRST run... (it was 
just as bad then as it is now)

... and grew up on Deputy Dawg, Fantastic Four, 
Rocky & Bullwinkle, Johnny Quest, Woody 
Woodpecker, and dimly-remembered episodes of 
Speed Racer and whatever else Japanese was being 
very badly dubbed at that time.  I remember 
wondering howcome the voices didn't match the 
mouths..

Sad, eh?

And a slightly belated happy birthday to Kymaera, 
who got even older and creakier yesterday, and 
who has been one of the best friends a person 
could possibly have for the last 10 years or so.  
We met playing ArcticMUD.  After he became the 
Overlord he took great pleasure in torturing my 
poor beleaguered characters with unsuspected name 
changes, forced shouts that resulted in my being 
inundated with pointless messages, and so forth.  
We finally met each other in person a few years 
ago and delight in insulting each other in person 
as much as we do at a distance.

I have him to thank for supporting me in many 
things, among others my steadfast refusal to grow 
up. :-) He's also trained my kids well; they 
can't quite figure out why everyone doesn't know 
who Gokudo and Naruto are.  

He doesn't realize this, I think, but he also 
gives my husband hours of amusement as his lines 
stick in the Spousal One's head and come back to 
haunt me when I least expect it.

So thanks to him and to everyone here for 
birthday wishes for all of us Libra-types!  Woo 
Hoo!
