Everything in my collection is framed. When I
got into collecting I decided I would keep my
collection small so that I wouldn't have to hide
some of my cels in a book. It's not as limiting
as you'd think... I don't buy something I can't
figure out how to frame nicely :) To keep the
cost down, I pick out my own acid-free mats at
the local craft store, along with one of two
frame styles I've become fond of using, and
mount the cel using acid-free tape (at the top
only!) I've had cels on the walls for the past
two years with no noticible signs of damage
:D If you follow the guidelines that are out
there for framing, I don't see why you can't
save some money and frame the cels
yourself... oversized items being the exception,
of course. |
