Those are nice albums, but they're overkill for my
purposes. Those books expect library conditions
and my house isn't a library. It's not climate
controlled at all, and everything is stashed away
in a dark place (with only me looking at, it as
opposed to 1000 library patrons). So light is a
non-issue, I can do little about temputure, and
can't do anything about humidity. I can't achieve
perfect archival conditions, so it's a waste of
money to aim for that. The only real thing I see
a need for is for the storage to be acid-free,
and Itoyas could give me that, but. . .
. . .still unsolved is the physical problem of
how to actually *arrange* these things so they
have a reasonable level of protection, and can be
fairly easily viewed, without taking up every
closet in the house. There has to be someone out
there with some realistic storage ideas.
It would be one thing if it were only a couple big
sets. But sketches are already now MORE numerous
than the whole of my cel collection by per-sheet
counts, and I have NOT been seriously collecting
them for long at all. o_0; So the problem isn't
going to get better or go away until I find a
whole new method of storing them. . .
