I just realized I've had my anti-spam measures set
much too strictly -- I've been filtering out a
whole bunch of cel mail into the junk bin.
Fortunately, I had the forsight to create a junk
bin just in case something like this happened --
but now I have to crawl through hundreds of spam
messages to find the few relevant spam messages.
This is what I get for trying to automate spam
removal... basically, the program went through my
e-mail and looked for keyword identifiers on
similarly formatted messages,  and tossed those to
junk. Nice thought, didn't work according to plan.

Here's to catching up on reading 'lost' mail ^^;;;
