Howdy.
Just wanted to drop a quick note saying that we
had a bit of a boo-boo yesterday while working on
the site and it's acting very strange. We're
aware of the problem and I'm trying to get a
coworker to trudge down to this really big, cold
room where we keep all the computer equipment and
reboot it. Or kick it really hard.
ETA? Tonight... I think. Unfortunately, all the
candidates for this errand are in the midst of
assembling a business proposal due Tuesday and
cannot make a two hour detour through downtown
Houston right now. I'd do it myself if it weren't
200 miles away.
Fear not, those who have a gallery with us, all
the sites are intact. It's just the connection
between the database server and the web server
that has been squashed. The web site expects some
data from the database.
However, if you were planning to do updates, now
may not be the best time. No updates made from
yesterday until when we can reboot are guaranteed
to go through correct. It's still quite possible
to make updates, but I just wanted to let people
know that very strange and possibly unpleasant
things may happen if you do. Apologies for the
inconvenience, especially to anyone who had their
heart set on sharing new stuff today.
Thanks!
