All packages headed this past weekend, and
should arrive on Wednesday or Thursday if you're
in the US, or next Friday at the latest if
you're overseas. Thank you again, everyone --
now that we're looking at rather extensive
ongoing care bills for Steve, having the surgery
paid completely off was a huge, HUGE help.
To those who want to keep up with the whole
kitty saga, I'll be posting updates on the main
page of evilminion.com. Steve went in for his
first chemo treatment this past Friday -- he'll
be receiving regular injections for the next six
months -- and he doesn't seem to be showing any
extra ill effects from it. Even with the chemo,
a cat with lymphosarcoma has only an average
life expectancy of six months, but I'm
determined that our li'l bastard will be the one
to beat those odds. :)
After all, he sits on the couch and watches
inordinate amounts of shounen anime with us --
you'd figure he must have picked up some
tips on defying all obstacles by now. *grin*
And now, in order to keep this post on-topic and
avoid The Wrath of Yann... *tickles Yann*... I
shall momentarily mention the recent Mandarake
Zenbu lottery. While I managed to nab a couple
of very cool cels, including a mech blueprint
cel from Gundam Z, the one item I desired
most eluded me -- an incredibly silly SD
Gundam cel of Char and several of the girls,
complete with original production background. I
believe I griped at length to just about
everyone I knew after the lottery was over about
missing that cel. Yadda yadda, kvetch kvetch,
some wretched bastard, grumble, grumble... you
all know the speech by now, I'm sure. *grin*
So, um... how would I have guessed that my
husband was the guy who won it, as a prezzie for
his SD Gundam-obsessed wife?
Do I have the best hubby ever, or what? ^_^ |
