I often use rubbing alcohol and a Q-tip, using a 
clean, cotton cloth to dab at the damp areas to 
help it dry.   You just need to be careful not 
to use it on the lines or on the paint (both 
will smudge or even come off).

If you decide to try this, whatever you do - GO 
SLOWLY, doing a little bit at a time.
