However, those cels are from the rotoscoped ( 
ugh!  teh EVUL ) Ralph Bakshi adaption of "The 
Lord of the Rings".

"The Hobbit" was animated/produced by Arthur 
Rankin and Jules Bass, most famous for "The Last 
Unicorn", "The Flight of Dragons" and all those 
old stop-motion Christmas movies like Rudolph and 
such.
