Sorry for not replying to the other thread to
which I had replied earlier. Anyway, you can
tell a bootleg (Read: Illegal) dvd in a number of
ways.Product image - If it doesn't display a
company logo, then it's suspect, if it varies
from the original packaging, it's very suspect.
Languages - If it has only Japanese subtitles
and no english dub, or maybe japanese and chinese
subtitles, it's almost certainly a bootleg
(unless it's a japanese dvd... which wouldn't
play in your dvd player).
Regions - If it says "Region 0", "ALL
REGIONS", or something similar, than it's most
likely a bootleg.
DVD count - If it's 3 dvd's for 26 episodes
(in the case of your esca auction), then once
again, it's most likely suspect.
So you might be asking yourself... how do I
buy legit dvd's on ebay or otherwise for a good
price? Well! If you want to continue using
ebay, use what I've just said, and compare to dvd
listings at a legit retailer (Amazon, suncoast,
etc). If you choose to buy from internet stores,
I highly suggest www.dvdpricesearch.c

Bottom line, support the industry you love! :D
