Actually, this will be our first pair of non-mutt
cats as well -- we usually just go to the pound
when we're looking for new friends.  But this
time, after losing our last buddy too early to
cancer, I decided to be selfish and not play the
genetic lottery again so soon.  So we contacted a
breeder with good, healthy bloodlines.  I feel
guilty, because this means that two pound cats
might go unadopted this year.  But I just wanted
to have the best possible shot at adopting
healthy, well-adjusted little boys this time.

As to litter size, I believe there are five or six
kitties in this litter, three of which were male.
 If only I had a much bigger house, I'd get ALL of
'em.  Wheeeeeee!  *giggles*
