And also, here is some digital camera advice:
Get one that takes regular AA batteries. The lithium ones are
nice and small, but if it runs out you probably won't have
another one or a charger handy. Also, if you buy a camera that
requires AA batteries, you can buy 2 sets of recharchables and a
charger, to save on costs. Also, if your batteries run out when
you're no where near your extra set or the recharger - you can
just buy batteries. Not so easy with lithium...
Also, there are different types of photo card things for cameras.
Get the CF (i think those are the letters, definitely a C..) card.
they are thicker and more durable than the tiny flimsy other data
cards. The camera you get will require one type of card - get the
one that requires the CF ((the more durable one). I know the tiny
digital cameras are appealing, but the card will last longer if it is
more durable.
One last thing - if you can, get a usb photocard transfer thing
for your computer. It saves your cameras battery life because
you're not directly importing from it.
Mine is a Canon 2.0 megapixel and I forget the model number. It
was about $160 on sale at Best Buy. Originally $200. (I got one
after i found out that last year I spent over $200 on photo
processing alone ^^;;; ) It's a great camera and I love it :)
