God bless Showtime!  LOL.  That one cable channel 
introduced me to so many cool robots and anime 
characters: Grendizer, Dangard Ace, Gaiking, 
Daimos, Starzingers, Spaceketeers, etc.  

The three Spaceketeers (Jessie Dart, Aramos, and 
Porthos) were definitely the goofiest of the lot. 
 But their personal spacecraft and weapons (well, 
mainly Jessie's astrobat) were the ultimate in 
cool.

(I'm still chuckling over the joke about what his 
headband is similar to....)   ;-D
