...very little line fading, pristine bg...it's
amazing! I think it's because, from what I own of
the production art, it's all very high quality.
Nice, thick acetate, great paint (no fading in
airbrushing even), even the douga paper is thick
and high quality. Most of my cels have little to
no line fading...it's a miracle! I think it goes
to show how nicely cels can come out if a little
love and care is taken in the beginning processes
^^
As for the style...isn't it wonderful? It's retro
and modern at the same time...it's odd how much
the spaceships still look like the spaceships in
anime today, and yet this is 20 years their
predecessor. Nothing like in American TV, where
spaceships from 20 years ago were clunky and
filled with Christmas lights, whereas today
they're smooth and look rather functioning.
I like to think of Takemiya Keiko as being ahead
of her time :D
-Misha, who more and more is enjoying collecting
an old and obscure show :D |
