I'm not sure if we're speaking of the same thing, 
but often to the left of the sequence number 
there will be a three digit number indicating the 
cut/scene.  So basically if it says something 
like C-208, that would be the 208th cut (or 
sequence) in that episode.  Sometimes we get 
lucky and they'll put the episode number up there 
too.  This cut number is also written on the 
background and on the bag from what I've seen.  
Sicne your two cels come from the same scene, 
they have the same cut number. ^_^
