Nice hardcover 14" x 17" portfolios with archival 
pages are about $40-$60 (well, hardcovers are 
still somewhat flexible but nowhere near as much 
as the Itoya covers).

Or, you could just try making stiff bookcovers 
for the itoyas out of cardboard.  Gotta use that 
taro board for something, heh.  Later.
