My wishlist cels are pretty modest, so the few 
that I've seen I've been able to snatch up in most 
cases.

But how about this take on it?  You see a cel you 
really like, wishlist or not, and you mentally 
commit the funds to the auction.  Then, for one 
reason or another, you miss the cel (outbid, 
listing pulled, etc.).  Now, even though the whole 
reason for setting that money aside is gone, you 
still consider that...."extra" money.  ;-)

Then you spend it on other cels and junk, 
thinking, "Well, I would have spent this 
anyway...."  LOL

I've only regretted a few cel purchases, and that 
was mainly because their quality didn't look as 
good in person.  Some cels look better in scans 
and some look better in person.  Strange.  I've 
had some average-looking cels arrive and knock my 
socks off with their breathtaking reality.  THAT'S 
a nice surprise....
