I just scoped out the hotel and conference center 
(already got my badge---2.5 hours to get it last 
year and 2.5 minutes this year!).  The original 
meeting place, in the pre-function area, probably 
won't work.  It looks like that entire hallway is 
going to be a high-traffic area.  In fact, the 
entire conference center looks unsuitable for our 
little shindig.

So here is the plan.  It turns out I know someone 
on staff at the hotel--^_^--and she said she could 
hook us up with a table elsewhere.  Most likely, 
it will be in an area closer to the lobby, right 
next to the gift shop.  This will put us out of 
the main Con area, but still on the outskirts of 
it.  And while there will be traffic around us, we 
will be shielded in a small cul-de-sac.  This 
location is also right outside the Horizon and 
Alpine rooms booked by the Con (which are not on 
the website map but are noted on the map in the 
registration packet).  If this falls through, we 
can still meet in my room.  :-)

 I will be able to answer mail until I leave 
(around 9AM, Friday).

This has no connection to the Con-sponsored panel 
on cel collecting, which will still take place on 
Friday at 5PM.
