I use lycos.co.uk, too. I've noticed that around 
7, 8, 9 pm CST, the server has been going down 
occasionally. We've decided that it's because 
it's the wee hours of the morning--- in the UK--- 
when people on their end are least likely to be 
disrupted.

But it's done this a few times, and has always 
come back up after an hour or two of 
downtime. :o) So I'm guessing it's just regularly 
scheduled maintenance.
