It's funny, I am one of the people who bidded
on those cels. Yet, I don't mind this person's
honesty, and don't mind competition from other
collectors. If there were no competition, and you
alway get your cels dirt cheap, what does that
say about the value of those cels and this hobby.
Should a person who buys $10-50 cels with no
competition feel bad about participating in this
hobby?
May be I haven't been here long enough, I
don't know what happened before with the YJ
stuff, but can you say the same thing about Ebay
auctions? People post "??? cel on EBay" or "Ebay
auction ends today." Aren't those annoying too?
Basically, people were posting on here
saying, "Look at these pretty cels on YJ". Yann
got tired of them and stated that those types of
posts must stop. As for eBay, he has reprimanded
people who posts more than twice: once to
announce your auctions, and the second post along
the lines of "Last day of my auction". Those are
the rules for this forum, for those who have been
here long enough to know.
How about pointless messages
that takes up more than half of a page commenting
on the new icons. Does that have anything to do
with cel collecting?
Those dealt with the useabilitiy of the forum and
thus had a direct effect on the readers even if
they were not discussing cels. Ultimately, Yann
is the only moderator of this forum and if he
does not kill an off-topic thread then he does
not consider it to be detrimental to the readers.
