VPM was first an OAV series, and then a TV 
series.  OAV cels are usually pretty easy to 
identify as such once you get familiar with them 
as they had a vastly different art style.  They 
usually also go for more (though I am in the 
minority who preferred the TV series).

As far miyu prices thats difficult to answer, 
because I have seen them range vastly depending 
on how well the exact image was drawn, any where 
from 20 to over 100 for a well centered A grade 
shot.  Also I tend to focus more (as a lot of 
the female collectors do *wink*) on Larva and a 
few of the other Shinma (who can get waaaay 
expensive) rather than Miyu herself.  
I know Yann has a rather extensive collection of 
the actual title character, perhaps if he gets a 
minute what with the sale and all he could 
provide a better answer?
Of course what with its domestic 
release..there's no telling if it may start to 
affect prices..
