They've been there for about a month and a half- I
was going to announce them here, but I was
extremely underwhelmed. I spent about 2 hours on
the phone with Travis, who is the owner of IconUSA
about 2 months ago, and we discussed all kinds of
cel storage/preservation ideas. He seemed very
excited, and talked about making all kinds of
stuff specifically for cels, but it turns out all
he put on was that stuff- it's some of his same
old supplies repackaged "for cels". The mats are
standard mats for 8x10 photos, the sleeves are
their standard 11x14 sleeves, and the cases are
just archival photo storage cases. It's a good
idea, and I have stored my best cels in a very
similar manner, but I found that if you search
around other sites, you can find the same supplies
(sold as what they originally were, photo storage
items) for a good deal less money. He also totally
ignored the concept of cel books, he kept trying
to get me interested in photo boxes, I'm guessing
because he makes a good profit on the boxes. I
couldn't seem to get across that most collectors
store thier cels the Japanese way, in cel books.
