The more i read from www.paypalwarning.com the
angrier i get as i remember the times it has let
me down. GRRRRRR
I heard that Microsoft have teamed up to form
something like paypal. While i think it is
limited to the US just now i'd still be
interested in keeping an eye on it when it goes
international.
Also that site says paypal is losing money... i
can't seem to understand how since it spends so
little on advertising & the money certainly ain't
going on customer service so how on earth??!!
Anyway seems some of the rules with paypal is:
(1) Don't give them your bank details
(2) Withdraw any significant sums of money from
your acct
(3) Give them as few details as possible.. ie
don't be rushing to add all your credit cards on
file.
(4) Know that your credit card company is most
like to be more helpful than paypal. But if you
do get your card company to do a chargeback make
sure are not gonna need that paypal account
anymore since paypal will usually suspend you.
(5) From first hand knowledge on several
ocassions i can tell you that buyer protection is
a load of poop. If they rule in your favour then
they will attempt to recover your funds from a
seller who has at this point had ample time to
withdraw all paypal funds..
(6) To be covered by their crappy protection in
the first place, as a buyer you need to send to
Verified members only.
(7) As a seller you are not covered if you ship
to unconfirmed addresses.
Yes i moan but i still use them.. grudgingly..
