Well, first off I want to thank everyone who made 
the Saturday cel gathering at 2:00 such a huge 
success... binders of wonderful goodies were 
practically popping up out of the woodwork, and 
even non-collectors were stopping by to ogle and 
drool.  It was a LOT of fun!  Kudos to Japester 
for organizing the event.  ^_^

Not much to report in terms of cel stuff, though 
-- only two cel dealers attended the con, likely 
because it was scheduled on the same weekend as 
Fanime, and much of what was available is 
backstock we've seen before.  There were some new 
treasures, though, and I was thrilled to pick up a 
few little Bakuretsu Hunters cels from Anime 
Jungle, and a nice Li from Anime Gambit.

I also picked up a total butt-scratcher of an 
unknown cel, but that will be posted in another 
message, along with a plea for identification.  
*grin*  And if YOU can look at it without 
boggling, you're a better man than I.  
Figuratively speaking.

Now for the fun stuff.  I recently picked up a 
marvelous new Canon scanner, and have been 
industriously rescanning my collection, since the 
new image quality is so much better than the old.  
While I'm not finished yet, the Slayers section is 
at least back online, and I'm just incredibly 
pleased with the results.

HOWEVER, if there's one thing a project of this 
magnitude harshly demonstrates, it's that not all 
cels are still equal in my heart.  When I open a 
binder and cringe at the thought of rescanning, 
resizing, thumbnailing, and uploading all the 
contents, that's not a good sign.  Therefore, any 
cel which seemed a bother to rescan has been 
placed on the trade/sale page in the hopes that 
somebody else out there will give it the adoration 
that it truly deserves.
